Cookie Policy

This policy explains what cookies Takeyard uses and why, in compliance with the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and the Danish Executive Order on Information and Consent Required in the Case of Storing or Accessing Information in End-User Terminal Equipment (Cookiebekendtgørelsen, BEK nr. 1148 of 09/12/2011).
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. They let websites remember things — like whether you're signed in — between page visits.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies (no consent required)
Under the Danish cookie rules and the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent because the service cannot function without them.
- Authentication session — managed by Supabase Auth. Keeps you signed in as you navigate the Platform. This cookie is set when you log in and expires when you sign out or after the session timeout. Purpose: authentication. Provider: Supabase.
Analytics cookies
We do not use any analytics, performance, or tracking cookies. If we add any in the future, we will update this policy, obtain your explicit consent before setting a non-essential cookie, and provide a way to withdraw that consent at any time.
We do record some activity without cookies. During the beta, Takeyard records which calls and profiles you open, and searches that find nothing, so it can learn to suggest collaborators. That happens on our server against your account — it stores nothing on your device and reads nothing from it, which is why it needs no consent banner. It is described in full, with a switch to turn it off, in the Privacy Policy. We mention it here because a cookie policy that said only “no analytics cookies” would be technically true and misleading.
Marketing & third-party cookies
We do not use marketing cookies. We do not embed third-party advertising, social media widgets, or tracking scripts. The only third-party service that may set cookies is Supabase (for authentication, classified as strictly necessary).
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to Takeyard. Since we only use strictly necessary cookies, there is currently nothing optional to accept or decline.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and Danish Data Protection Act, you have the right to withdraw consent for any non-essential cookies at any time (we do not currently use any). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) at datatilsynet.dk.
