Project workspace
Where you and your collaborators actually build the music together.
What is a workspace?
Every project on Takeyard starts with a Main workspace— a private working area containing audio, files, messages, tasks, and the schedule. Only approved members can see what's inside.
A project can begin with only you. Creating it does not publish anything to the collab board. When you are ready, use “Find a collaborator” from the project overview to post a call into that same workspace.
Working in stages
The Main workspace is created automatically, so you do not need to make this decision when starting a project. You can rename it to match the current stage, such as “Writing,” “Recording,” or “Mixing.”
Inside it, the Audio, Files, Messages, Tasks, and Schedule tabs keep each type of work together without exposing the project publicly.
The project overview
The project overview shows the project identity, its workspaces, and the people involved. Owners can customize the colour, cover, description, and workspace name, then invite help when they are ready.
Privacy
Workspaces are sealed — only members can see the files inside. This is enforced at the database level, not just in the UI, so there's no way to access files you're not supposed to see.
